Gosport Together Unity Rally
October 25 @ 13:00 - 15:00
Gosport Together is organising a Unity Rally on Sunday 25th October starting at 1pm in the Falklands Gardens.
Recent events in Gosport has seen tensions rising and a rise in dehumanising language surrounding people who are crossing the channel, this has incited hatred and by protesting this we are showing solidarity with the vulnerable people putting their lives at risk by crossing the channel, the RNLI who had to suspend their Portsmouth station due to threats and attacks, and law enforcement who have been put in risk of danger for simply doing their jobs.
The point of this demonstration we are holding and Gosport Together in general is to fight the spread of misinformation in our town and the broader area, we believe clearly that the scapegoating of any group of people does not fix anything and is in fact dangerous to everybody.
Gosport Together is here to promote peace, love and unity, to bring people together for the common good and to show that Gosport is a town that thrives and is a place of tolerance.
